Andromedeans

They come here at will, spying on us, watching our self inflicted stupidity. They know we will eventually annihilate ourselves, through expending energy on wasteful competitions, rather than cooperation. They know we have compulsive needs to prove to others of our kind that we are superior. They know we are of the same genetic stock, even though we look different on the outside. They know our specie is still very shallow and will continue to define ourselves by looks and cultures., that we will continue to fail to see  99.99% of what binds us, that which makes us human. They know we are still very primitive, and our superiority complex against others of our kind provides a consolation of sorts.

These beings from Andromeda get amused with how tiny our spiritual understanding still is, they watch us worship, thinking we know the reasons for being. They watch with amusement our worship  of ineffable entities which we make as our gods. 

They have seen the folly of civilizations like us before. Civilizations that eventually self destruct, with no trace left. Nothing to show that they once existed. Arrogant civilizations do not require external aggressors to collapse, the seeds towards extinction, are innately ingrained.

Moving at 10 light years per second, they come to observe and laugh. Sometimes for their pleasure, they drop their footprints for us to glimpse, and these are then immediately erased, to confuse us,  to make  us engage in endless debate on their existence or not, their prank for entertainment. For them, no where is too far in the Universe, they can show up anywhere at will.
